A recent survey on MyBroadband reveals how companies feel about AI.

A well-defined AI strategy is crucial for South African businesses that want to stay ahead of their competition – yet most organisations are still overlooking this rapidly-evolving technology.Click here to learn more about OpenText’s Aviator AI solutionsThey survey – completed by 205 South African business leaders – uncovered valuable information on how companies feel about AI. This included the standout feedback that only 12% of respondents’ companies have a well-defined AI strategy.

This is despite the fact that over 55% of respondents said they are willing to let AI take over certain responsibilities or tasks, provided they remain in control of critical decision-making. 43% of respondents also rated AI as being “Extremely Valuable” for improving customer experiences – showing huge demand for AI solutions in this area. Nobody answered “Not Valuable At All” to this question, revealing that AI definitely has a role to play.

Data privacy and security have been major concerns for many users regarding new AI technologies, particularly large language models, as these require lots of data to be processed and consumed.Revealing this private information could result in both compliance and competitive ramifications – which businesses are eager to avoid.
