The most recent skirmish features a Hollywood actress, and allegations that ChatGPT developer OpenAI imitated her likeness because she refused to grant them permission.In that demo, OpenAI representatives bantered and chatted with a flirty female representation of the AI tool, called “Sky”. It was a game-changing use of technology. The voice had been extant in OpenAI’s products for months, but the very public demonstration brought it to the world’s attention. People were amazed and awed.

“Out of respect for Ms Johansson, we have paused using Sky’s voice in our products. We are sorry to Ms Johansson that we didn’t communicate better,” Altman said in his statement.
