The United States Air Force and Space Force have announced the launch of their generative artificial intelligence tool called NIPRGPT. Standing for Non-classified Internet Protocol Generative Pre-training Transformer, the new tool is designed to help the Department of the Air Force learn how AI can advance access to information.
NIPRGPT has been developed in partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory for “Guardians,” Airmen, and civilian employees. According to the announcement, the platform will assist staff with communication, research, and coding tasks while remaining connected to a secure online environment.reports that Chandra Donelson, DAF’s acting chief data and artificial intelligence officer, said during a media roundtable that although the platform is still under development, NIPRGPT has shown promising results.
