NVIDIA announced expanded partnerships to deploy AI infrastructure for city services, building on initiatives from its GTC Berlin conference. The company is working with municipalities and developers in Spain, Poland, Malaysia and the San Francisco Bay Area on applications including resident-service chatbots and camera-feed analysis.
In Spain, 1MillionBot combines open-source ALIA models from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center with NVIDIA Nemotron models in resident-service agents for Madrid Digital (Comunidad de Madrid), Administració Oberta de Catalunya and more than 150 deployments across Spain, according to NVIDIA. The agents handle municipal procedures, appointment requests, urban-planning incidents and service inquiries.
In Wrocław, Poland, K2K is building shared AI infrastructure using NVIDIA accelerated computing, NVIDIA Cosmos world models and the NVIDIA Metropolis Blueprint for video search and summarization to analyze existing camera streams for mobility, safety and event response, NVIDIA said.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, LiveX is developing what NVIDIA describes as conversational AI hosts using NVIDIA Cosmos world models, Nemotron open models and Omniverse and Metropolis libraries on NVIDIA RTX PRO GPUs. The company said the interactive agents can understand needs, provide answers and be tailored to local languages for use in airports, hospitals, local events and other public spaces.
NVIDIA said city teams can start building these AI services with NVIDIA RTX workstations or small GPU systems, depending on the workload. The company is positioning shared computing infrastructure as a way for city departments, neighboring municipalities and local developers to build services without each organization acquiring and managing its own resources.
